Default Steering Wheel Re-Covering?

The leather wrapping on my 1996 ti California edition has worn through to the plastic in a couple spots, and is getting worse rapidly. I was thinking of getting a leather cover & put it on. Has anyone else done this? Did you strip the old leather cover off or put a new cover over the old? Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Default Cover

I just picked up one recently myself. The new cover goes over the old one. You'll have to "stitch" it together properly for it to look right. You'll see what I mean when you have it in your hands.

Follow the instructions, take your time and it should look pretty good when you are done.

ps be sure to get a quality leather one!
