Interior and boot lights permanently on!

Had this problem for a while now my interior lights are constantly on. Ive been told it may be an earthing problem as my rear screen heating element also doesn't work. BMW electrics break me! Any help would be appreciated.

I've had this problem too, and for me it turned out to be that 'push-switch' (dunno the exact word for it, sorry..) in the hatch. It's next to the lock. When I placed a small piece of paper between the switch and the plastic trim that sits on the back of the car, the lights would go out. Since I don't mind about having interiorlight when the hatch is open (because racecar..lol) I disconnected the switch.

Had the same problem. It was the same switch Michel posted.
