And i thought i would replace it all at this point. I am also 40 yrs old and not looking for a 2" drop and incredibly harsh ride. That said seems like all the aftermarket springs aren't options. Does anyone have a set of low to moderate mileage OEM sport springs? (and sway bars as well?) I would also love to get some OEM sport struts as well, but figured a decent low mileage set of OEM struts would be less likely to come by. Thanks in advance for any response. post here or email directly at cmoore.ny@gmail.com Chris | | | 02-06-2013, 08:18 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Halethorpe, MD Posts: 1,028 | I have a front swaybar from a '99 sport that I could part with, but I wouldn't be able to get it to you until March. I'd take $50 plus whatever shipping costs. Let me know if you're interested. | | | 02-06-2013, 11:25 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Wichita Falls, Texas Posts: 1,364 | Bilstein HD struts and shocks on my base ti firmed things up nicely without any drop. Later I found and installed oem sport swaybars, and that made things feel even better. OEM sport springs will drop you about 1/2". Good luck with the project. And yes, i know the sport suspension will be slightly stiffer and provide a minor drop - just not looking for extremely stiff and 2" drop. | | | 02-07-2013, 02:55 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: Ft Defiance, AZ Posts: 686 | Im not sure if they make them for the ti but the Koni str.t shocks might be good for what you're looking for. I just got a set for my E46 and love them, they're a little stiffer than stock, are pretty cheap and have a lifetime warranty __________________ 1999 BMW 318ti 2005 MINI Cooper S | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
