There are some differences, mainly the oil pan and its related components. There is a ton of info on this on the e30 boards (r3vlimited.com, etc...) Early e39 m52's could also be used for obdII swaps (but not the later e39 m52tu's (same with later z3's) without substantially more work). You would need an e36 M52 harness at the minimum. obdII e39 motor into an OBDI e36 car- http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...light=e39+swap OBDII e39 motor into OBDII e36 car- http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...light=e39+swap Hope this helps! __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. You'd need an E36 wiring harness as well since the E34 places the ECU in a different location in the engine bay. __________________ GFa: Parts, Powdercoating, and Powah | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
