Default Will this setup work? OBD 1 S50 into a '96 OBD 2 Ti?

I have a '96 Ti and am contemplating buying a '95 S50 and tranny with low miles for a swap. What kind of retrofitting will this require? I might have read somewhere that '96 was a weird year for the Ti, part OBD1 and part OBD2. Thanks in advance.

First off just understand your making a orphan car, engine swaps must be same year or greater than chassis. Sell the car and for at least seven years any subsequent buyer that can prove you modded the car can sue you for them not passing smog checks in ANY state. Its a Federal deal... Low risk likely but its there....

Otherwise it should work just swap mechanicals and the harness+ecu and maybe the cluster as a complete set.

it was completely OBDII, it just didn't come with all the emission related stuff that later models came with

Dave, what is the federal law? I understand different states have laws on this but didn't realize there is a federal law on it.
