False start

Hey guys, recently, my 318ti is playing up on me.

When i first start the engine, I have to start twice before the engine turns on sometime once, or three times!. I really don't know the problem, has anyone here have the same trouble? If yes, could you name the issues and the solutions, thanks

im not a mechanic but acouple of weeks ago my car was having the same false start problem specially in the cold.
it started then click and starts again. it happens fast i thought about it but i thought it was just the weather after acouple weeks it had trouble starting until it wouldnt start i thought it was my alternator but my friends hook it up with a diagnostic test and it turns out my battery was at 90% tops when it should be around 700% after that it started like a charm even in cold weather.. It could be your battery.

Thank you, I'll change my battery sometimes next week, if I still have the same trouble then I think it's my alternator,
