How about Mileage? THX | | | 06-01-2004, 03:30 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2004 Location: LA & Colo Spgs Posts: 210 | I installed my DASC at ~75K miles. The car now has 89K on the clock with "close the hood" reliability. I am running the AFPR supplied by DA, so have had no software or other changes to the engine, electrical or fuel system. Here are my impressions: Mileage: avg 27mpg city, 30mpg highway (down about 1-2 mpg from stock, but still ~10mpg better than most M3's!!!) 0-60 time: Have not measured it officially, but based on my experience driving many, many cars, I'd estimate around 7.0 (plus or minus 0.5 seconds) if you really stand on it and abuse your clutch. I rarely do this (I prefer drivers' schools to drag racing) and my stock clutch is just now needing replacement at 89K. I'm gonna slip a lightweight flywheel in while the clutch is out, too 1/4 mile: I have no idea because I never drive that far in a straight line You must be VERY mechanically inclined if you plan to install this kit yourself. If you buy one used, be careful that you get the entire kit, including instructions (which are not really all that intuitive, but good to have anyway). I got mine directly from DA through a group buy on Bimmerforums and saved about $500. I have looked around, but have not found any verifiable results. I'm just kinda curious as to what they are throwing down at the wheels. Thanks. | | | 09-09-2004, 10:43 AM | #13 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: queens, nyc Posts: 17 | Supercharger Hi , Can anyone tell me how much is on? and will it mess up the engine or any part of the drivetrain in the long run. The guy selling it has New York listed as location and has no transaction history. The bid was at $1,250 last time I checked. I was interested, but the seller having no history, I would be leary. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
