Totally panicked that I would be looking at a new ignition I opened 4-5 windows and dropped some google bombs on 318ti After about an hour browsing the electrical forum, I found a couple others who had that happen, some posts told me to replace the WHOLE thing including a new key. Actual fix: 3 screws and a couple tweaks with some pliers Thanks to the team effort of people in PA, Jamaica, and Australia, I will be headed to work tomorrow in my baby. Glad to find this place, ill be here frequently! What goes on at these meets? I guess you can count me in, I nearly crash every time I see another 318ti on the road cause im oogling it | | | 09-04-2008, 05:43 PM | #2 | Moderator Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: SoCal318ti Posts: 1,574 | Quote: Originally Posted by jordanmc I came home this evening to find my key out of the ignition with the engine still running, I d/c the battery to stop the car, but then the key would not turn. I am going to be turning it into a rally/camp warrior. It handles dirt roads better then most SUVs | | | 09-19-2008, 12:34 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: San Diego Posts: 180 | fixed some grime and crap from years of neglect left to clean, but i need to change hoses and belts soon, Im gonna save some of the nitpicky toothbrush scrubbing for then. | | | 09-19-2008, 12:36 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | much better FWIW, this is a small forum, so it's not really necessary to have 2 threads for the same thing | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
