Default Just found forum, Love my newish 95 ti

I came home this evening to find my key out of the ignition with the engine still running, I d/c the battery to stop the car, but then the key would not turn.

Totally panicked that I would be looking at a new ignition I opened 4-5 windows and dropped some google bombs on 318ti

After about an hour browsing the electrical forum, I found a couple others who had that happen, some posts told me to replace the WHOLE thing including a new key.

Actual fix: 3 screws and a couple tweaks with some pliers

Thanks to the team effort of people in PA, Jamaica, and Australia, I will be headed to work tomorrow in my baby.

Glad to find this place, ill be here frequently!

What goes on at these meets?
I guess you can count me in, I nearly crash every time I see another 318ti on the road cause im oogling it

ive since learned that it is just basic stock everything, the manual has stamps, and it looks like it was owned by only one person.

I got it in Escondido, CA for 5g with 93,000mi

reason for the engine bay dirt

next time you are in san diego

if you think you can handle it, holler at me for some rally action.

I am going to be turning it into a rally/camp warrior.

It handles dirt roads better then most SUVs

much better FWIW, this is a small forum, so it's not really necessary to have 2 threads for the same thing
