Posts: 701 | I would not bypass it unless it was to be used for track purposes only. I would suggest having a local shop verify and reset the code. If after this the light comes back on, there must be problem with the sensor (very rare). The light can come on after the seat has been removed or the sensor unplugged and the car started or a blown fuse on the same circuit. This has worked for me twice in the last few years on different cars. You will still have to have the light reset. | | | 06-26-2008, 06:11 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Berlin, Germany Posts: 258 | Mine comes on , and then goes off after a few minutes of driving. I think it's caused by the same thing. Think it's the connectors? __________________ | | | 06-26-2008, 09:28 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | IIRC, that's not a big deal, it just means your passenger airbag will blow even if no one is in the passenger seat, don't worry about it unless the light is bugging you Quote: Originally Posted by Kraln Mine comes on , and then goes off after a few minutes of driving. Think it's the connectors? | yours is caused by a faulty sensor in the drivers side seatbelt buckle, it's a very common problem and can only be fixed by replacing the buckle, I have the same problem, I just ignore it | | | 06-26-2008, 10:31 PM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Bucharest, Romania Posts: 12 | Thanks for the replies, I would like to bypass it for the light to be off (after the tester reset) and the airbag to come off either if it is somebody on the seat or not (in case of an accident), that is what I am talking about, I will have the seat removed and try to check, clean all the conectors, if not....I will still search for a solution since I don't want to open up my seat for the sensor replacement (big money for a replace ) | | | 11-16-2009, 11:18 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: usa Posts: 378 | i got the occupancy sensor abs light on too, looking for solutions. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
