I picked it up today after the FloridaGerman meet in Tampa from some guy who has a built GT3 race car as seen here: and here is the header: I'm going to install the header sometime this week and possibly dyno this weekend and will let you guys know how it is. There is a possibility that I might sell it, all I really want to do is test it and if I really like it I'll keep if not then just sell. | | | 02-26-2007, 08:57 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | dude wtf? Thats an m42/m44? That looks like a very complete different setup. How much power is that engine pushing out. | | | 02-26-2007, 02:49 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | What? Looks like an M42 to me. It's not in a Ti, but that is definitely an m42. | | | 02-26-2007, 04:45 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Florida Posts: 1,595 | Yeah it is not in a ti, but an m42 motor in the e36 body. As for numbers I didn't get any, but can find out. Everything you see is just about custom made. | | | 03-17-2007, 04:34 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: ipswich Posts: 656 | how did u get on with the header __________________ 318TI FOR SALE MESSAGE ME FOR MORE INFORMATION | | | 03-17-2007, 05:57 PM | #6 | Member Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: La Crosse, WI Posts: 45 | That engine looks crazy. But I wouldn't expect to find much of a performance difference on a mostly stock 1.8l M42 between a straight through pipe and the SS racing resonator. But it sounds like you are going for a sound difference and not a performance gain. The M44 sounds really good with aftermarket exhaust and cams. | | | 03-18-2007, 03:57 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | Quote: Originally Posted by mohaughn On a high horsepower, high compression racing motor I could see where just having a straight through pipe on instead of a resonator would be a good thing.
