Default i'm new

i just traded in my 88 535i for a four-door 96 318i.... i know this is the ti site, but i'm sure there's some regular old i peolpe on here. i really like the car. it has 180,000 miles, so i guess the previous ownder did too. it has a header on it also. the 535i had to go because it needed way too much work and was just a pain in the butt...the clutch stuck all the time, i think the master cylinder was bypassing... but whatever, the car is gone now. it was way down on power for a 3.2 liter engine too. the 318 is a little quicker. i'm much happier with this car. the 535 didn't feel like a BMW, the 318 does. i'm really happy with it. but i'm also ready to put a little bit of money in some stuff, like a cold air intake, the engine is too quiet ... and maybe a chip. that's just for now... maybe my dad will teach me how to port and polish the intake some day. oh yeah i might put a short shift kit in. right now i'm gonna stick to the stuff i could do myself. which is not much... i'm glad i'm here though, i already love this car, and i've only had it one day.

hopefully your new friend,
mikey

p.s.--i got really scared today... stopped kinda short in the rain today and the front wheels locked up and i was pretty close to hitting someone.... but i stayed cool and regained control pretty quickly...i had to change my underwear though

as long as you didn't stain the seats (or hit anyone), it's all good.

welcome!
