I just realized how amazing the interior is in the e46. Is it possible to fit that interior into our cars, like the dash?

I bet it would be a superhuge b1tch to swap that in. You'd have to do the whole interior if you could pull it off in the first place. Otherwise it'd just look silly, and might fit even worse.

i agree, the lights are bad! but there are loads of them flying round over here. usually driven by silver haired ladies. you can get them for good money too. their residuals are rubbish.

I still think the overall appearance of the E36 ti is much more appealing to the eye. From the side it almost looks exactly the same as the E36 ti but the front end looks like a horse-faced-dufus. I say meh!

Ever since i saw this car in a magazine before it came out i thought it was ugly as hell and out model ti looked soo much better. The front end just ruins the car, those headlights are the ugliest things i've ever seen on an automobile and BMW should be ashamed.

Other then the headlights I think it looks great. They should have brought that model to the US. With the 2.5l it would have sold.

Not with that front end. Even if that had a 3.2l engine in it i still wouldn't buy it cause of the lights.

Yeah thats why I said other that the headlights it looks good. Strangely they sell eyebrow kits to make your E46 look like that.

Given that German tuning site, I'm betting you could retrofit normal e46 lenses in there (just chop the S out of the hood).

I've seen them in person and didn't really like them, TBH. If they flared that sideskirt and fixed the beady eyes AND got rid of the altezza-style rear lamps, it might be worth it. And trim that sucker up; there's no reason it should be over 3k pounds.

Hmmmm...

I wonder if an E46 M3 nose could be grafted on...

Next swap project perhaps?

Anyone know if the E46 ti kept the E30 rear suspension, or if they upgraded to something else?

There are many UK BMW buffs who have "grafted" E46 front ends to an E36... pick up a copy of "Performance BMW" at a local Barnes & Noble. It can look good however, like engine swaps... it depends on who's doing the work. Ah... and if you're talking about the actual E46 M3 bumper by itself... replica's are available for the E36's... (but I am sure that you must be referring to the whole front end up set up when saying "nose").

I believe it's a totally brand new car based on the e46.
