Thanks, Lazoh!

I will have pics when it gets home tomorrow. It is exactly the same as my car was when I first got it. The license plates are like only a couple of numbers off.

It has high miles and the interior is in pretty used shape, but the body is straight and all the key parts look solid.

Don't plan on any wild upgrades right now, just getting it up to par to be a daily.

Worked on the 97 Sport today
  • Picked up a couple of cans of Seafoam for a treatment this week, MAF cleaner, as well as some electrical connectors for a Pioneer install.
  • Making up my list for a cooling system renewal. Referenced the DIY in the reference section and did a visual check.
  • Replaced a leaking bleeder screw with a brass one.
  • Checked the K&N filter
  • Plugged in the laptop to check, clear and check codes again
  • Fixed the glove box release
  • Removed the old head unit. It wasn't hooked up, just there to fill the hole.
  • Checked/charged up battery. I may have a dead cell.
  • Resprayed the faded rear shelf with black Dupli color
  • Installed a new, spare Roundel on the hood
  • Swapped steering wheels with a Euro 3 spoke I picked up from the U.K. Direct swap.
  • Test drove to check out the wheel. It'll do...

Nice! A black 95? sport? BTW, I like the white gauges on your console.

As far as ti sightings, I saw a nice silver, post-95 Sport today zipping by at Costco in Rancho Cordova. Very clean exterior condition. Aside from the M-Tech spoilers, were any others options on the car? This one looked to have a 3 piece on it.

picked up a set of Style 98s for a damn good price, planning on repairing the curb rash, painting them a nice gun metal and putting them on the ti, then putting my black rims on my E46 and selling my other set of rims

It's an active package, with the upgraded(!) stereo, OBC and cruise. The white gauge face is an overlay that came on the swapped car's cluster, I added the trim rings.

Was inches away from being backed into by a careless lady in an Escalade. Horn test successful!

Mods for today...

Installed a pair of 97 M3 mirrors on my 97 Sport.

Need to get my M-Tech spoiler painted soon! I'll get the mirrors painted as well as they are actually Cosmos rather than Schwartz II.

Installed a pair of rear mudflaps. Just looking for a pair of front ones.

Installed a pair of black license plate frames.

Now I just need a pair of license plates.

Default HEADLINER!!

I have been depositing what is left of my hair into the sagging fabric of my headliner for a few years now.

Today was the last straw...

I removed the hell handles, visors and dissolved visor clips and dropped the saggy mess out of the car. Pulled the fabric off, and found bits of the nasty foam remaining.

Went to local Homo-Depot and bought a cheap scrub brush and took the panel into the neighbor's woods.

There I scrubbed the foam off.

Followed with an Acetone wash to get it less sticky, and then two cans of semi-gloss black paint. Followed that up with a can of semi-gloss black "texture paint" that I had left over from painting light fixture bases around the outside of the house.

It doesn't look half bad! After it dries a few days, I will pop it back in. The smell is still a bit strong...

Other than that, the car still goes like stink!

took my rear M tech diffuser off and dropped it off at a vinyl shop to be covered in carbon fiber vinyl. it was all gouged up and scratched so this was cheaper than getting a new one
