I lead the iPhone/iPod cord under the console and through a hole towards the back of the console where the supposable 'cup holders' are! . The iDA-X305S looks great with the interior lighting though. However I re-ran the test this morning, and got a 9.62 0-60 and 15.98 1/4 mile. I doubt the app I'm using is too accurate. Of course it could just be the trans acting up.... Changed the oil today and will take all the spare parts and crap out tonight for tomorrow's autocross. I'm going to go beat the crap out of it some more. Last night I did catch up with a modded WRX with some fat tires on a exit ramp. I saw him take off and I caught right up on him. Every once in awhile the car does surprise me. Would be interesting to see what I could do with a real suspension on the ti, but there is no way in hell I'm spending 2K on it. Maybe a cam or crank position sensor on the fritz, when they are dying and work intermittently it can really affect the car's power delivery/acceleration... | | | 04-21-2012, 08:43 PM | #2264 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | ti DAMN! Getting ready for 3 days at VIR. Flushed brake fluid, spark plugs, oil & filter. Have been meaning to replace my diff fluid. Well, maybe that wasn't such a good idea. I now have a hairline crack in the diff cover. I torqued the fill plugs to 52 ftlb. I'm wondering if it was already stressed from my indy doing the work? It's the cover from an M Coupe. I was hoping that the fluid would also improve the locking up issue I am having. It didn't. So now I'm 'ucked. Mini Plugs, oil & filter and air filter. E30 I was going to flush my brake fluid but I've had enough for one day. So now I cancelled my DE. Bummed. Haven't been on the track all year. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 04-21-2012, 10:50 PM | #2265 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Crap, sorry to hear about the diff cover. I've always heard no more than 35ftlbs on those plugs. The problem is that the torque spec is for dry threads and usually the fill plug has oil dripping out of it. Any metal particles in the old fluid? You have a quaife right? Strange that one of those would have locking issues, maybe a bearing is going bad? __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 6 (0 members and 6 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
