I'm just baffled by this....I know that the fog light housing should swivel out allowing access...but I just can't get it to happen? Its the fog on the left as you look at the car from the front [drivers side in UK] I'm pressing on what seems to be the holding clip on the right side of the fog lamp but nothing happens..? Anyone got step by step idiot proof instructions? | | | 09-18-2006, 04:18 PM | #2 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Well it depends now. I purchased a set of Depo fogs awhile back and noticed the plug on the back was at a different angle. SInce it was i could not put the light in while plugged in. I had th take off the palastic mud flap guard that allowed me access to the back of the fog light. I had to plug it in that way. Normal zkw light just pop out cause the wire adapter is straight out the depos come out then angle down. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 09-18-2006, 04:56 PM | #3 | Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Dublin Posts: 66 | Cheers Tylers I shall have another stab at it later on.... | | | 09-18-2006, 06:35 PM | #4 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Quote: Originally Posted by Actin Cheers Tylers I shall have another stab at it later on.... | There is only about 3-4 screws underneath the bumper where the foglight is,once removed you can get at it. This is my guess since it won't just pop out on you. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 09-19-2006, 10:36 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | You have to kind of rotate the latch as well. Dig up the part diagram on realoem to see how it works. FYI, the "side" of a car is always stated as relative to the driver. So, you're looking at the right side fog lamp. In this case, you'll need to rotate the handle of the screwdriver to your left (as you repair it), or driver's right. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 09-20-2006, 02:08 PM | #6 | Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Dublin Posts: 66 | cheers folks | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
