Default Broken Gauge Cluster Lights?

A friend and I recently installed two subwoofers in my TI, which involved running speaker wire from the head unit through the dash on the driver's side (underneath the steering wheel) and back to the hatch. Anyway, after we finished the installation, the subs worked fine but I noticed my instrument cluster would not light up when I turned my headlights on. I checked the fuse and it's fine. The headlight knob is turned all the way and still no light... The odometer, turn signals, hi-beam indicator, low gas light, etc. all work fine, it's just the speedometer, tach, temp, and fuel gauges that are out of whack. Another difference that I noticed after the sub installation was the buzzer warning me that my parking/headlights were on would not go off anymore either.

If anyone could tell me what's wrong with my car it would be greatly appreciated. I would really like to fix it myself if it's not that big of a problem, rather than bringing the car to my mechanic or to the car audio place.

It's starting to be a problem that I can't see how fast I'm going at night...

Thanks

1. Are you sure that you didnt unplug something by accident when you ran the wires under the steering column for the subs?

2. Are you positive that all your fuses are good?

3. Have you tried hitting the dash and seeing if it worked?lol, worked for mine.
