But i've been looking at Goodyear assurance triple tred and Bridgestone potenza G009's. Good performance, ride, noise and especially price. | | | 06-26-2006, 11:17 PM | #3 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | I'm just looking for an all season tire, not looking for performance tire or anyhting like that. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 06-27-2006, 02:13 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Halethorpe, MD Posts: 1,028 | Tyler, The ASX is an all-season. It's highly rated on Tire Rack and they've been working great on my wife's Bug. The Avon all-season is supposed to be a good tire too. | | | 06-27-2006, 02:22 AM | #5 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Who makes the ASX? __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 06-27-2006, 03:25 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Oxford, Ohio Posts: 868 | I bought the Kumho ASX, too. Great value, great performer. I highly recommend it. Probably costs less than the others you mentioned, too. But you'll most likely have to go through Tire Rack which takes a couple days. They also have a newer model called the AST. In the stock size (225/50 ZR16) the ASX are $69 each and the AST are $60 each. The Avon Tech M550 A/S is $89. It's a high rated all wetaher tire. I forget the price on them, but they are the tires I see on all the cars at the dealership. I got contisportcontacts and they are great. I can barely even hear my tires on the freeway. And since I switched I only fishtail when I want to. __________________ I'm back with a different 95 ti | | | 06-27-2006, 02:20 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Berlin, Germany Posts: 258 | Just picked up a set of Kumhu ASX 205/60/15's myself. I've had them for 3-4 years and have been happy with them. I have an appt after work today and the total is $397 for the tires and mount & balancing fee's and tire disposal. I wanted the Goodyear assurance triple tred but don't have the extra money right now, they wanted like $560 for the tires and it includes all the fees. I'll post pics later tonight, although they aren't that special. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 06-27-2006, 03:25 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Berlin, Germany Posts: 258 | It cost about $200 for the Kumho's and $80 for the installation. __________________ | | | 06-27-2006, 07:55 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: England, UK Posts: 1,288 | Kumho Ectsa KU31s. 215/45/17 front 225 rear.
