So i have to use 4 cylinder, standard induction system, cams, bore size, and ecu are free... So my m44 is 180bhp with m47 crank, but its heavy, i was wondering if any of the later N series of engines where any good? I hear they are lighter. Id like to get to 2.3 or more, i dont need revs i need torque,, i cant use a s14 before anyone says! | | | 12-11-2015, 09:21 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | Quote: Originally Posted by bmw2101 i have a m44 engine in my bmw compact now, i use it for rallying, and the rules are quite strict. It allows a better angle by the rod and leverage angle, but you already did that mod. If you can change valve train parts go with a single chain system along with titanium valve components and the hybusa valve springs. Every pound of rotating mass removed is the same as removing 15 pounds of dead weight from the car. The single row chain is excellent and I put one threw hell and it never had an issue.
