I found this on ebay and i'm very tempted to get it but don't know if it'll bolt right up with little to no modifications. I know it's OBX which is a cheap chinese brand knockoff and i know you're prob thinking why put this on a German made car right? Well it's a lot cheaper than the awesome name brand ones and if it sounds good and looks good then i want it. Also because the car came with a cut and weld job from the cat with a cherry bomb muffler so it's loud as hell. Any advice, opinions, and suggestions? http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Catback-...a1f958&vxp=mtr Also, where does one shop for a Remus, Stromung and Supersprint exhaust specifically for our cars? thanks, James __________________ 92 Nissan Stanza - Backseat Shenanigans and Tom Foolery - sold and would pickup another 94 Del Solo SI - The Go Get Her - sold 94 auto Prelude "S" for slowww - Daily schmaily - sold 91 MX-5 Miataz - Silversurfer - Weekend Bandicoot 96 5-speed 2dr RAV - Purple baby monster - New Daily Last edited by handballallday; 04-10-2015 at 02:58 PM. | | | 04-10-2015, 10:34 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Globally Posts: 1,162 | Stromung makes a nice quality piece, Remus, was top notch for a long time but I have heard of guys in the E30 world complaining about rust on their systems. Mine lasted 10 years and then I sold it to someone else. Z3 uses the same rear axle so I imagine it would fit. The guys over on bimmerfest like the obx system. It's basically a chinese knock off | | | 04-10-2015, 10:42 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | If I recall correctly, .org Member Strawman (Geoffrey) used Z3 exhaust parts, but I don't recall which type he used. Try sending him a message about his setup. __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. I think that's why supersprint sells the adapter pipe for the ti or z3 and then the same muffler section. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 04-11-2015, 12:18 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2015 Location: NYC Queens Posts: 225 | thanks for the response guys. I really appreciate it. I'm not too fond of the Remus tip and tone. Not enough deep growl so i may just go with the Stromung which i found here.... http://store.vacmotorsports.com/stro...8ti-p2566.aspx __________________ 92 Nissan Stanza - Backseat Shenanigans and Tom Foolery - sold and would pickup another 94 Del Solo SI - The Go Get Her - sold 94 auto Prelude "S" for slowww - Daily schmaily - sold 91 MX-5 Miataz - Silversurfer - Weekend Bandicoot 96 5-speed 2dr RAV - Purple baby monster - New Daily | | | 04-11-2015, 01:22 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Globally Posts: 1,162 | understeer.com has them as well. Yeah i just went on the site to view that particular 318ti. Absolutely gorgeous. Seems like understeer.com is the cheapest price carrying Stromung for our cars. __________________ 92 Nissan Stanza - Backseat Shenanigans and Tom Foolery - sold and would pickup another 94 Del Solo SI - The Go Get Her - sold 94 auto Prelude "S" for slowww - Daily schmaily - sold 91 MX-5 Miataz - Silversurfer - Weekend Bandicoot 96 5-speed 2dr RAV - Purple baby monster - New Daily | | | 04-11-2015, 05:30 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Globally Posts: 1,162 | Yes, there was a group buy for an M42 one for E30's on R3Vlimited but I'm not sure if it went through. | | | 04-11-2015, 05:49 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | FWIW, I like the Stromung. It is louder than my Supersprints, but not so loud to be irritating. It does drone tho on the freeway. I have a spare to try on my Cali, I suspect it would appear louder with the canvas top. I have a Supersprint on it now.
