hello across the pond Hello people. Im jafoolii. Im in the south east of uk, approx 40 miles from London. Been using this site for a few months and relised ive not said a propper hello. Ive owned various e36's and changed to different manufactures but always come back to a e36, what can I say...They are my passion and my toy. This is my first time owning a 318ti and to be honest. She has grown on me. Iwasnt looking for a ti but a 318is either a coupe or 4 door. I was looking around for a good 6 weeks for a 318ti but i couldn't find one that I liked. Colour, spec or age miles didnt suite. And i know im bit picky. We been running a pugeot as our daily drive and I hated it. When it needed new exhaust I put it into a garage to do. I didnt have any ambition to do any work on it. My partner found the ti on the web. She gave me the link and saw I it at work. I must admit. Having no boot wasnt appealing nor was the dash. But when I saw it for real. I was shocked. I did like the car and saw potential in the ti. I know that once there looked after they will run for a long time. So I put deposite down and paid in full next day and drove her 20 miles home. Sure I found some niggling points driving her home. Back left speaker not working, front window not working but all can be repaired. Ive sorted the window with a new regulator and the speaker I have to replace with new. Every day driven 50 miles to and from work most 7 days a week. Each time I drive her. I find it great fun. Always something to enjoy. Always something to repair or renew and I wouldnt want it any other way. __________________ 1994 316 loon R.I.P 1998 318is loon R.I.P 2000 318ti sport |
