So first off I took it to the shop, they replaced three hoses and a connector. (I know one of the hoses were back by the fire wall). The total then came out to be 300$, they said they tried to pour coolant into it and it all just came out so they said I need to replace my radiator now and if I were to let them do it, it would become 700$ total. I looked around and I found a radiator on Rockauto for 115$ and I figured I'd just put it in myself but I currently am jobless and looking for a job and don't have any money to get it out of the shop or buy the radiator. Only thing I'm worried about now is it obtaining a mechanical lean on the car because that's the last thing I need right now. Anyone know wither or not it would be the Radiator that needs replaced or could it be something else? | | | 05-29-2013, 11:21 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: Merritt Island, FL Posts: 351 | Ask the shop to show you where it is leaking from, have them pour some coolant in the radiator and it should be obvious. If not obvious, then they can pressurize the system with a tool and it will push the fluid out of any leak points. A radiator replacement is a really easy job on a 318 since there the radiator fan is mounted to the radiator and it all comes out as one. __________________ Alpine Weiß 1995 318ti M50tu mostly stock, chip'd 413, AFE Intake. e36 M3 front brakes, e30 M3 rear calipers. e28 3.25 LSD + e30 axles. They said something about pressure not sure if they pressurized it or not. But the Radiator could be a possible reason for leaking though? | | | 05-30-2013, 02:41 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | Came out from where?? If you search around on here there are several parts that could be the culprit, all replaceable at home...
