Default lamenting

so....I bought a 97 330ti off a shady guy in South carolina about 3 weeks ago.

I dorve it back and the clutch blew 3 days later. Upon replacing that it was broken into (window smashed and sterio stolen while in the shop). Then i find theres a wierd shaking in the suspension right around 50 miles an hour, especially when turning right. ONly applying brakes straightens out the shaking. Then....my battery starts draining from 13 volts down to the point where the water pump wont even work (about 8.6 volts) so now its in the shop yet again.......

im beggining to think buying this car was a mistake....any encouraging words?

do you know this for certain? I mean this car was known in these circles and so was the previous owner. His posts did not seem shady to me. Just sayin let's not trash someone 'less u know them.

Quillbro- sorry about your bad luck. What was shady about the guy/deal/car?

The car was covered in sap and pine needles when i walked up to it.....dings and scratches all over in the body, (obvious signs that the car was not cared for)...the interior was filthy dirty.....there were alot of discrepencies when we were talking about the car. It was a decent deal though. With alot of work it would be a nice car. But i think he was less than completely honest with me.

took the car to the shop when the clutch blew and the owner of the shop said there were nuts and bolts loose all over the place. and the elctrical job on this car is a nightmare

Sound like your left balljoint is bad if it shakes when you turn right more and stop with brakes.

could be the right wheel bearing or just a simple wheel balancing issue as well.

it's easy to see that this car has potential. you got a smoking deal too. put some time, money and heart into it and you'll be well-rewarded.

my car used to vibrate and stop when brakes applied....it was a caliper sticking to the rotor
