Unhappy Super confusing parts question. (spring pads)

Okay, the abbreviated version. Just bought 97Ti. Already has H&R race springs installed. It is a bit too low to get in and out of my driveway, so...

I looked into the thicker spring pads to raise the height a bit while still keeping the springs i already have. Through searches on various forums i discovered the following.

Thicker spring pads are available for the M3 in the front suspension. The part number is...

31332227901=9mm thick, compared to 31332227902 which is 3mm.

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...31&fg=10&hl=17

Again these are for M3 so will they fit my setup with out issues?

Parts for rear are a bit more confusing....at least to me. Im used to older vws which are a lot less complicated.

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...59&hg=33&fg=45

The above link to real oem lists the following spring pads... all number 15 in the list. They say they apply to different spring colors which i assume are different rates or heights. Will these work with my H&Rs? Just dont know enough to figure this out on my own. I need some help guys from those who know before i order...

H&R sells a adjustable spring perch that goes under the spring. It allows tuning the ride height from about 0 to 1.5 inches.

Shoot, I'll have to track it down... We use them at the shop I work at part time on race cars. They are not "BMW" they are parts for generically working on whatever, you order them by shock diameter... Coleman (Dirt parts and stock car) sells them as well I think...

Sounds like this may be knowledge that's not out there I'll see what I can do.

I think the M3 uses a smaller diameter front spring than the non-M cars so the front spring pad may not fit correctly.

The rear pads are really easy, just use whatever size you want. They will work fine with your H&Rs. The color codes only apply if you want to replace exactly what you have on your stock suspension.

Based on our rear suspension design:
5mm = 1/3" ride height change
7.5mm = 1/2"
10mm = 2/3"
15mm = 1" (This pad is from the E46 330xi)
