Default Onboard computer no longer cycling through mpg, mph, and temperature?

Hello friends.

Sadly enough, the ti was broken into a couple of weekends ago with mad damage done to the front dash panel while jacking the head unit. During the break-in, the thieves managed to smash the OBC which led to me purchasing and installing a new one. However, this new OBC doesn't seem to want to cycle through the different functions that are available with the OBC ie. MPG, MPH, miles till empty, and outside temperature.

I was told that the OBC needed to be coded within 36 hours of installation. It appears that the dealership didn't code it properly which prevents me from cycling through my computer readouts. Is that the case? Do you think the obc can be recoded to display the different readouts?

I hope so..

In the mean time, check out the aftermath of the break-in. Trust me, next time I WILL be removing the faceplate off the headunit. Also wanting to get an alarm system with keyless entry.

it's shocking how much damage some dirtbags can do trying to steal a radio, there's a guy on a local forum I'm on who has his head unit in loose just for that reason. if they're in the car they're getting the radio, better to have it just slide out instead of getting your dash ruined

Default OBC Works!

Finally was able to get the OBC programmed at my local BMW shop. Almost forgot how convenient it was to have MPG and an outdoor temp readout!

I just purchased my ti liast week. I also cant get mine obc to cycle through anything. When I start the car it defaults to saying that it is -40 out lol. I can hit the clock button and get to the clock but thats about it...

Sorry to see they got you. I have had 2 other cars broken in to in the past. If I had caught them I would most likely be in prison right now. There is nothing worse than having some lazy ass piece of garbage take what you work hard for cause they are too stupid and sorry to go earn it them selves!
