I spoke with John earlier today about the dual simulator. After our conversation I went to my local radio shack and bought all the items mentioned in the post. This year it cost $21.34. BTW super nice soldering job on your board. You should start making these for people. You doing quality work... If 5liter's are as good as JohnBoy says, I would be very interested in purchasing one from you! Do you think you might be making some to sell? I'd gladly pay a fair price plus shipping | | | 01-30-2011, 07:48 AM | #22 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2010 Location: Delta BC Posts: 4 | Quote: Originally Posted by 5liter Today is January 21, 2011. John Smith | Where can I find pictures of this SAP? | | | 01-30-2011, 07:59 PM | #23 | Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2011 Location: Chattanooga TN Posts: 3 | Pictures of Dual Bank APS Here is a picture of my attemp at the Dual Bank APS. I have not attached the power or ground wire yet or the other four wires because I'm lookling for the exact color wires. I know any wire color can be used but I want it to be like a factory job. Note, when making one of these you have to have the right type of solder or else it will not melt right and it will be a mess. I had the wrong type of solder when I did the first one and I ended up redoing it once I got the right solder. The third picture is of the wrong solder being used. To make the board fit in the box I had to sand the side down a little. It was easy and all you have to do is take a piece of sand paper and run the board back and forth on one edge until it fit in the box snuggly. I also had to notch the cover so it would sit flush. I had not given any thought of making these to sell. Like everyone else I just wanted to learn how to do it for myself. Once I hook it up and feel confident that it works then I might make some to help guys out in the same manner I was helped. Thanks again John. Oh yeah, I did not realize that the price on the parts listed to make these was for the single bank unit, I thought it was for the Dual Bank, my bad. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
