Default New TI Owner

Hello all, Been lurking on the forum for a couple of weeks now as I was thinking about picking up a 97 318ti. Well, after seeing all the proud owners here, I decided to take the plunge! so far I couldn't be happier. Throwing an O2 sensor code, so I will replace both of those ASAP. Also idles a bit rough so planning on cleaning the ICV. Needs a paint job, but that's about it. Gas mileage is great, especially compared to my Ford F-150. Mileage computer seems to be a bit more optomistic than calculating using the trip computer but still good. Looking forward to learning alot here. I already have gotten up the nerve to do most of the maintenance myself based on what I've read so far. Any Tx or Houston area Ti owners feel free to drop me a line!!!

Welcome to the forum, nice looking ti. Gas mileage will get even better after you replace the o2 sensors. You may also want to check the rubber intake boot between the MAF and the intake manifold or ASC valve. They dry out and crack/split between the ribs. This often causes rough idle and misfire codes.

Very fun interior... With your ti being the only one running, sounds like you have 3 parts cars available!

Welcome to the forum everyone!
