Default Hey there

Hi all, I'm a new member and TI owner in Florida. I bought a 98 318ti Sport from a buddy of mine recently. Everything with the car is pretty much in order with exception of windows falling off their tracks/regulator arms, and a weird electrical gremlin constantly turning on my hazzards for me. Just wanted to say hey.

Scott

Welcome! Wow you have a really nice Ti. That roof will be perfect for cruising in FL. I used to live in South FL myself for many years.

Welcome to the site and congrats on the new ti Scott. Looks like you picked up a really clean car, I'm sure you'll enjoy it for many years to come. Feel free to shoot us any questions and keep us updated on your experiences with her. Here's a good article to get you started:

Yea I was lucky. I don't see many around with the California top and my friend to really good care of the car to. I'm up in the Panhandle of FL and the weather is just now dipping down into the 50's at night and 70's during the day. It's so nice with that top open, I'm finding my self just driving around for no reason at all. I love it. This is my 3rd BMW, my last one was an 86 528i and a 88 325i convertible.

Nice. I've had 6 BMWs myself, all e36's, 3 of them 318ti's! Currently looking at a '91 318is

Sweet. I love the e30. If I were to get another it would be a 91 325is.

I was never a fan of the M20 engines used in the 6cyl e30's, mainly because they used a timing belt vs. a timing chain and only made 26 more hp than the M42. I'd much rather have the 4cyl M42 or S14, but if I were to get a 6cyl e30, it'd definitely be an M50 or S50 swap

I've been waiting for this guy to email me back:
