Ok, here are the before and after pics of my beloved TI.

I loved my California 318ti, but I'm onto other projects! (cars)

Also, see the new pics of my 1998 Accord EX V6 that has replaced my TI.

I decided to go with someting more family oreinted and that my wife would agree to drive when her Jeep lease ends. Once that lease ends, she's gonna take the Honda and I get to get Whatever I want! Wee!

Anyways, here are the pics. Shed a tear with me, ay?

Again, you guys have been a great source of info and I will probably get another BMW (not TI though).

You want to buy drive the roof?
There are some companies that can probably do it but that is something I would not recommend. I think the open air roof has additional supports in built in the roof. Chopping a big hole in the roof will probably reduce the integrity of the car.

And if you ever plan on tracking the car, many BMW chapters will consider it a convertible and not allow you to run. NJ/Del Valley do not allow open air roofs.

I suppose one could chop the roof from one and weld it to another. Personally I wouldn't want to drive the car.

If you really want a California Roof I'd look for one and start all over. I had a 98 Bright Red one until I wrecked it. It is no one the streets in Virginia.
