Default I took up a part time job at 7-Eleven, and things are kind of sucky.

Okay, this is kind of odd. How does one put this out there? Ok, I'll just spill the beans:

I AM A WHITE GUY WORKING AT A 7 FREAKING ELEVEN!

I don't know how it happened, but apparently God has a sense of humor. I basically have to tell the customers what the other guy I work with is saying, especially when they start threatening to bust his teeth in unless he starts talking normal English. Basically I translate English to...well, English. I guess it's good that I can tell what people are saying, no matter how thick their accent is. But, there is a downside to my employment. Everything that happens on my shift, is my fault. Only if it is bad. If it is good, we did our jobs. I basically am held to a higher standard than the others. I don't know if I should be proud, or upset because of the difference in attitudes towards me and my work when compared to the other employees.

I came here to get advice from some third party personalities. Y'all seem to have good ideas on a lot of things, so maybe y'all have some thoughts as to how I should handle my current situation.

sounds like you think you are too good for a 7-11 job to begin with. Quit and find something more suiting to your abilities. my .02

been there, done that. Worked for 7-11 for a year while in college. My Boss used to take an hour to go to the bank (a block away) JUST before the lunch rush. During the day it was just him and me, so it was up to me to field the register, run the deli, and keep the coffee hot... with a store with a store full of people.

He could never understand why I was in a grumpy and stressed mood when he got back.
