Here's the update...

The little feller is not eating. He's upset over the "chair" in his pathway so it's a waiting game...

lol,

For a mechanical engineering class I once had to design a mouse trap.
Take the chair design to a new level.

Make a box and use the chair as the box floor. make two compartments by putting a divider in the middle of the box that only comes up half the height of the outside box.

Make the first section the ground and the second section the positive and put some food in there.

Mouse walks in, smells food puts back legs on the ground, fornt legs on the positive and ZAPP... Dead mouse...

It works. I built one :-)

Engineering can be fun.... sometimes.

Standard rat trap + 1 bb + 1 shotgun shell + drill = vaporized rat guts on ceiling.

Take a standard rat trap, drill a shotgun shell sized hole right in the middle where the spring bar lands. Tape a bb to the primer on the shotgun shell. Set the trap. Place shell through the bottom of the trap so that it's standing upright through the hole. Carefully place the trap on a hard surface and stay away. WARNING! If trap is inadvertantly triggered during placement, it will kill you.

Rat triggers trap, spring bar strikes top of shell driving the primer into the bb, shell explodes sending rat guts all over the garage. BTW, rats love avocados

^ lol the best part is that you, every one of your neighbors and possibly the police will know when the trap goes off

That's totally nuts and dangerous. I can't believe you would suggest this.

My motor is in the garage and might get hurt

I think Jess's idea is actually fairly safe.
Since the shell is not in a confined area the bb's will have next to nothing in velocity.
Ever thrown a shell in a fire... Its really funny to see people run.

But I do like this mouse trap game. You really should video tape it.

Sneak out and close the door...Sit there and wait about 30 seconds and here he comes down the dryer power line. I sit calmly and zero in on his head, he stops and looks at me, I start to slowly squeeze the trigger and he runs up the line***Damn***...Sit about a minute no rat so I open and close the door and sit quietly. In 30 second he comes back down the line. This time I say fcuk it and lead him and peal off a cap at him. I hear a squeel noise and he runs back up the power line. I hear this dripping noise like blood, no it's more then blood maybe urine or body fluid, it's a lot of dripping...

I go over and look..."Son of a Bitch" I just shot a hole in my A/C condensate line and water is leaking all over the dryer, timer and electronic are getting all wet and the rat is on the beam laughing at me.

A/C is now fixed (45 minutes). Sun just went down, I'm in camouflage and I just got done mounting a infared scope on the BB gun and I'm headed out back to zero it in.

That Fcuker is dead tonight and yes he was laughing at me...
i LOLed my head off!
