so the farther right it goes is when i need to service it? or? can u elaborate?

I change my own oil (the lights never get reset, I don't want to have to buy a tool) and it is constantly on the second one to the left (the square is yellow) but has never hit the red. Yeah I'm in good old Bend! I was up in Salem going to school, but I'm living here now. Yeah I saw your CS on your other thread! Its the 95 right? Hey guys, the lights will decrease in number as your mileage grows, telling you when you need to change the oil...
John, there is a simple trick to resetting the light if you change your own oil, can be done with a wire or paper clip. It is really simple... I actually use a piece of copper wire bent to a horseshoe shape with about 1/2 inch of insulation stripped off each end. J/K, BTW the paperclip trick works fine as wolferj said, I do it all the time. Turn the key to position 2.
