I'm thinking of going with Coilovers anyway. | | | 10-31-2008, 09:42 AM | #242 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: Honolulu, HI Posts: 133 | Geez it looks like I've missed a lot here. Working long hours will do that to ya. I'm still in for the price, it's not too bad in my opinion(sorry RidingSimple). We use Bavauto from time to time so both my wife and I are used to getting ripped by shipping fees. My zipcode is 96816, probably not any cheaper though. I am good with shipping to either myself or R.S. __________________ 2005 Steel Blue 325ia: Upgrades/Mods: Lots. 1996 Alpine White: 318ti: Dinan Stage 1 Software. CosmoRacing CAI EVO 3.5". RS, we need you to okay this so that Kal isn't footing the bill for shipping. I have the link built, and there's a checkbox for the islanders to tack on the shipping. Once RS says he's in, I'll make the link available and will wait until the four of you have purchased before placing the order. There will be a slight lag between when you order and when the bar gets to you. I call my distributor, who then calls Eibach. Once the order is with Eibach, they are in charge of shipping and order fulfillment (although I will keep tabs on the process and supply tracking numbers as soon as they are available to me). In short, the sooner everyone does this, the sooner the bars can get to you guys. RS/Kal - you both have offered to receive the bars, so is it okay if I just pick one of you randomly? I'll inform once the bars ship. __________________ Chookeat | | | 10-31-2008, 04:10 PM | #244 | Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Florida Posts: 90 | Kool, Just curious if you were able to get springs for the ti. If they have to get them from Europe I imagine they wouldn't be cheap. Pretty sure I'm going coilover, but curious. Thanks | | | 10-31-2008, 05:29 PM | #245 | Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: MD Posts: 92 | You were correct on the prokit being unavailable - although Sportlines are still listed for the 318i, convertible, compact. Not sure if those fit you or not. What coilovers are you looking at? __________________ Chookeat | | | 10-31-2008, 06:14 PM | #246 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: Honolulu, HI Posts: 133 | Quote: Originally Posted by LudicrouSpeed Okay, so that's 3 confirmed. If we can get everyone in by 6pm EST, I may be able to call this order in today so we're not wasting a weekend. __________________ Chookeat | | | 10-31-2008, 07:36 PM | #248 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: Hawaii Kai Posts: 232 | Quote: Originally Posted by LudicrouSpeed Okay, so that's 3 confirmed. And go figure my ignition tumbler goes out just as money is already tight, but I'll never get a 28mm bar to my door for 200 again and I need it for my autocross class, so what is it they say? "No time like the present?" (or something like that lol). One last thing, this is for a 28 mm front Eibach bar AND the poly bushings right? All swaybars come with the larged bushing to fit the larger bar from my experience. Kaliimc, a nice thing for us to do with this upgrade is buy some new front swaybar brackets, end links, and the needed nuts/bolts to have all new pieces. Benefit: Even here in Hawaii, the salt air can rust up those parts, so while most would just recommend only replacing the end links with a new front bar, I always spend the extra 20 bucks and get the nice shiny new brackets, bolts, and nuts. Here's my thoughts. Autohausaz.com has silly good pricing on the links and brackets, I was going to place an order for front AND rear (you could just jump in for front hardware if you'd like), end links and brackets. I was thinking you might want to jump in with my order to get the shipping very low. If not, it's cool. And the best place to get the nuts/bolts is simply the local dealer in town, it doesn't hurt to pay retail on a few dollar parts. I think they also give a CCA 15% discount, I accidentally let my membership lapse, you a member? | | | 10-31-2008, 07:42 PM | #249 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Odenton, MD Posts: 419 | Quote: Originally Posted by RidingSimple One last thing, this is for a 28 mm front Eibach bar AND the poly bushings right? RS/Kal - please make sure you click the "islander" checkbox to add your shipping on there. Spider, you will be subject to MD's 6% sales tax. Other than that, we're good to go. Feel free to refer people to the link - I'll leave it active for a few days. __________________ Chookeat | | | 10-31-2008, 08:04 PM | #252 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Sales tax...boo. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 10-31-2008, 08:17 PM | #253 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Hmm, I am trying to check out but at the payment submittal screen I get this message. I can get to that site just fine, and that payment gateway isn't being switched over until November. Give it another shot. __________________ Chookeat | | | 10-31-2008, 08:29 PM | #255 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Got the message again, tried with both firefox and google chrome. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
