I think DR. pepper is a Pepsi product | | | 07-03-2006, 02:04 PM | #33 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2004 Location: Virginia Posts: 368 | Dr. Pepper is not a Pepsi product but it is distributed regionally by Pepsi bottlers in most areas. DP has been linked with 7UP for years but these days they are part of the Cadbury-Schweppes group which includes such beverages as Dr Pepper, 7UP, A&W, Sunkist, RC Cola, Squirt, Peñafiel, Welch's, Snapple, Mott’s, Hawaiian Punch, Clamato, and Canada Dry. Regardless, it is one of only a handfull of sodas you can still buy with pure Imperial Cane Sugar. But you have to want it badly and mail-order it from one of the original DP plants near Waco, TX: Dublin Dr Pepper My kids are now spoiled. My history with BMW and Dr Pepper are inextricably linked. Back when I was still riding my 26" black Schwinn Sturmy-Archer 3-spd to the local BMW store in St. Louis, they had a big green DP vending machine with a slot-machine-type lever to dispense DP and DP-only, for a dime. So, messing with BMWs while drinking DP has been my history for over thirty-five years. Prior to that my first summer job was making sure every customer in my Dad's childrens' shoe store was offered either an orange drink, chocolate milk, or the small glass bottles of Coke kept in a cooler in the front window of the store. When I couldn't get DP on the golf course, my half-way house drink of choice was Coke mixed with Chocolate milk. | | | 07-03-2006, 04:50 PM | #34 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: TX Posts: 140 | You can actually get Dublin Dr. Pepper at a lot of gas stations/convenience stores around Dallas, TX where I now live. It's pretty good stuff -- soda with regular sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. And for some reason they like to load up DP with artificial sweeteners in the UK [as well as sugar]. That **** is bad.. | | | 07-03-2006, 07:13 PM | #35 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | I prefer caffiene free pepsi myself.. and around here, DP is distributed by coke. | | | 07-03-2006, 08:51 PM | #36 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Berkeley, CA Posts: 411 | I have a cvan of Dr Pepper in front of me and it says high fructose corn syrup and is canned by Coca-Cola in Georgia and and made in Texas by Dr Pepper, not pepsi. Pepsi is too sweet and Coke has been around for so long that back in the day it used to have cocaine in it when it was still legal. | | | 08-08-2006, 11:07 PM | #41 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: CA Posts: 104 | PEPSI rules | | | 07-07-2008, 10:48 PM | #42 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Atlanta, GA Posts: 18 | WHERES THE CHERRY COKE LOVE??? __________________ Kalin /// 95' Alpine Base Ti Current Mods: 17" Gunmetal Gray M// Replicas w/ chrome rivets, BavAuto wheel locks, K&N air filter, tinted windows, Sony Xplod Bluetooth Head Unit, Polk db speakers Future Mods: M3 bumper, white trim, foglights, short shifter, Koni struts, H&R springs, 318ti.org stickers | | | 07-07-2008, 11:52 PM | #43 | Moderator Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: SoCal318ti Posts: 1,574 | Quote: Originally Posted by TECH TI WHERES THE CHERRY COKE LOVE??? | If its Zero Cherry Coke, I'm in!! | | | 07-07-2008, 11:54 PM | #44 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Bored, aren't we? __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 07-08-2008, 12:17 AM | #45 | Moderator Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: SoCal318ti Posts: 1,574 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti Bored, aren't we? | Kind of!
