Exclamation help with DASC! somethings not right!

ok, i just finished my DASC install today. it started right up and idled fine. so i took it for a test drive. i noticed that the car kept surging, didnt seem more powerful, and wouldnt rev past 5500 rpm! i thought maybe the fuel pressure was low, so i tightend down the set screw on the rrfpr all the way to give it max psi. took it out again and still, the same. in 3rd at about 2.5-3k rpm it has ok power, but first and second it has none, and it wont rev past 5500rpm. jim from DA told me to check the fuel pressure with a gauge so i will be doing that soon. the spark plugs were alittle black and then brown at the tip, but i only drove it 5 miles total. im pretty sure all the vacuum lines are good. what could be the problem/'s?

Well as far as your spark plugs, that's normal. They're supposed to be brown at the tip.

but do you think they would have changed from only 5 miles of driving.
