The R32 is indeed a very cool car, but I'd pick the M Coupe over it ANY day.

A decent Z3 M Coupe is getting harder to find, and prices may actually be starting to creep up. Definitely a fun car and the S52 is strong sturdy engine though outpowered by the S54. (IMHO)
(my M coupe's in the Photo Gallery)

I'd probably go with the R32 for a Daily driver since you get the AWD and more features. The MKV's are pretty good cars. I got an 07 GTI and have had zero issues with it since I bought it in June. I quit driving VW's back in the early 90's after problems and a$$hole local dealers.

135
m coupe
mini
r32

warning: opinion ahead

i always thought the r32 was kind of a joke... doesn't stand a chance against proper awd (sub/evo), and it's too heavy and understeer-y for a hatch. if you want a golf, get the gti. drive em first!

woah landslide so far for the m coupe lol

i wasnt surprised the m coupe has the same rear suspension as our Tis and very fun cars to drive. BUT i will soon be going to UCLA and the $$$ for fixing or updating a car is out of the question(starving student here we come). I will have enough to buy a car and keep the payments but i wont have the extra cash or time to fix it or mod it. So look at it from that angle too. I think the r32 and 135 will be the best choice for that...my Ti will be my track/fun car.
