Definitely a fun car and the S52 is strong sturdy engine though outpowered by the S54. (IMHO) (my M coupe's in the Photo Gallery) I'd probably go with the R32 for a Daily driver since you get the AWD and more features. The MKV's are pretty good cars. I got an 07 GTI and have had zero issues with it since I bought it in June. I quit driving VW's back in the early 90's after problems and a$$hole local dealers. | | | 01-09-2008, 02:48 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: chicago Posts: 172 | 135 m coupe mini r32 warning: opinion ahead i always thought the r32 was kind of a joke... doesn't stand a chance against proper awd (sub/evo), and it's too heavy and understeer-y for a hatch. if you want a golf, get the gti. drive em first! | | | 01-09-2008, 05:12 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: G-dale, California Posts: 1,698 | woah landslide so far for the m coupe lol i wasnt surprised the m coupe has the same rear suspension as our Tis and very fun cars to drive. BUT i will soon be going to UCLA and the $$$ for fixing or updating a car is out of the question(starving student here we come). I will have enough to buy a car and keep the payments but i wont have the extra cash or time to fix it or mod it. So look at it from that angle too. I think the r32 and 135 will be the best choice for that...my Ti will be my track/fun car. __________________ Live Everyday As If Its Your Last A friend is someone who is willing to step into a flame to save you........aka a 318ti | | | 01-09-2008, 05:13 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: G-dale, California Posts: 1,698 | elf that your m coupe is gorgeous! __________________ Live Everyday As If Its Your Last A friend is someone who is willing to step into a flame to save you........aka a 318ti | | | 01-09-2008, 05:18 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: G-dale, California Posts: 1,698 | __________________ Live Everyday As If Its Your Last A friend is someone who is willing to step into a flame to save you........aka a 318ti | | | 01-09-2008, 05:25 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Denver, Colorado Posts: 3,212 | Quote: Originally Posted by M3_KILL3R | That's a nice GTI i think i would pick it instead of the M coupe | | | 01-10-2008, 06:38 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: G-dale, California Posts: 1,698 | ya guys ive kinda made up my mind on the next car issue im going to go with either vw GTI 337 edition or a vw GTI 20th anniversary edition their under 15k, 6 speed smooth gearbox, 180hp 180 torque, turbo, recarro seats, what more do you need?! lol __________________ Live Everyday As If Its Your Last A friend is someone who is willing to step into a flame to save you........aka a 318ti | | | 01-10-2008, 06:45 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Denver, Colorado Posts: 3,212 | Before i got the Ti i was thinking of getting a GTI i just couldn't find one in my price range.
