Default 245/40x17 on the rear?

I have the chance of a pair of 245/40x17" PS2 for the rear of my E36 ti these will be fitted to BMW alloys of the correct fitment for this vehicle, has anyone fitted this size without problems? Standard suspension BTW, I suspect they will be OK but wanted to check...

Best regards David

They will fit. I'm currently running a pair of 245/40R17 Kumhos on the rear of my car.

will most def fit - I got them on all 4 corners - if you can though, go with 235-40-17s.. it is a much better fit, in my humble opinion.

It will fit on the rear without problems. I have the same size on my contour wheels on the rear. It looks nice and wide too.

Well should have them fitted by the weekend, so I want my money back from you lot if they don't fit you know!

Should look nice from the rear.....not lowered and no mudflaps...just lots of rubber......

Best regards David

I'd like to see some pics of any cars that have this size

I'm currently deciding whether or not I want to stagger mine in 225 and 245..

Three quick piccies, really not sure you can tell any different between 225 & 245 front and rear.....but I got a pair of 245's at a very very good price so no brainer really....

Thanks, I keep toying with the idea of lowering it a bit, even to the extent I have a set of springs ready, but I really don't want to bugger up the fine ride/handling balance BMW have deemed to give us in standard form.....but I may well just fit a set of M-sport ARB's.....the Ti ARB's are tougher than the normal E36 for a start so M-sport versions may make all the difference I would like.....dunno yet....still mulling!

Best regards David

THX I'm just about to pull the Ice tires off and switch back to summers, thinking of doing wheels and tires this time. Gonna bump to 17's so I can fit the 330 brakes. I was thinking of 225 all the way around to keep the rolling load down, since I'm commuting in it right now...
