We were driving on 270 east and my car fish-tail, although I corrected, I didn't stop the impact into a concrete divider. No one was hurt, and we were the only car involved in the accident. Now onto the aftermath. My Insurance didn't total the car out, but I need some serious part to get ride back together. So far I've located a new bumper, now I need to find a hood and front right fender. If anyone within the forum community can help me with finding parts that would awesome. E-mail me if you have a lead on parts. md.norwood@gmail.com Thanks- Matt | | | 03-08-2007, 06:49 PM | #2 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Another one bites the dust! Man there's been a lot of wrecks this year. Keep your eyes open here, someones bound to part one out soon. The hood and fender will interchange with any e36 sedan, so also check ebay, junkyards and bf.c P.S. sorry about your car, glad nobody was hurt. | | | 03-09-2007, 03:49 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Do you know Chris Bethel at understeer.com? He does mainly aftermarket stuff but may know some boneyards your way too. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 04-18-2007, 05:00 AM | #4 | Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Columbus, Ohio Posts: 78 | Good news! My TI didn't get totaled out, the repairs were completed a few weeks ago. A family friend bypassed the insurance estimate and used salvaged parts, and through the course of repairs I got a M3 bumper out of the deal. The only complaint has been the body panel are 100% due to the structural damage . The pics are to follow soon. | | | 04-18-2007, 05:08 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | It isnt that easy to find parts for cheap. Well, i went with straight OEM everything. But who knows, maybe more in ohio than here in cali. Yea the numbers are going up, but there were ALOT last year. Then it was my turn. But i should be good to go 1 1/2 months tops. Sorry about your car though. If your like me, you have enough passion for the car that youll fix it back up. | | | 04-18-2007, 05:18 AM | #6 | Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Arlington Texas Posts: 48 | I had a similar accident a year and a half ago, but on the other side of the car. The repair amout was enough that the insurance company wanted to total it. That was until they couldn't find one for sale to determine fair market value and had to give me Kelly Blue Book top value, which was enough to cover any repairs. I was very relieved that I didn't have to go out and buy another car. I love my ti! | | | 04-18-2007, 03:09 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Quote: Originally Posted by hubrisin Good news!
