The US free form and projector designs have a portion of the light beam shooting up so you can read signs that are above you. The euro projectors have an aggressive cut off and ZERO light shoots up. I had to install free form foglights to help with overhead signs. A rock also shattered my glass lens...so I swapped back to the US lights. The glass euro lights are nice, but I won't be getting another set. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 02-25-2007, 07:16 PM | #47 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Detroit, MI Posts: 585 | So are you using a set of HIDs for your low beams with US housing? __________________ | | | 02-26-2007, 02:29 PM | #48 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Detroit, MI Posts: 585 | Count me in. 6000k __________________ | | | 02-26-2007, 04:14 PM | #49 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Cincinnati Posts: 890 | I installed my 8000k's this weekend from the first group buy in my illegal lenses.. I have them aimed pretty far down, and I'm no more annoying than any other vehicle with a conversion kit. Although I can tell you that my stock high beams are pretty worthless now. __________________ SOLD!!! 1999 332ti //M Sport Titanium Silver M3 S52 3.2 I-6 Engine, M3 Clutch w/ ti Getrag Trans, Z3 3.15 LSD medium case diff and half shafts, OEM Hatch Spoiler, Eurosport HP Underdrive Pulleys, FDM, 17" DS1 rims, M3 Front Struts & Springs, M3 Instrument Cluster, 3-spoke //M steering wheel with tri-color stitching, SSK, CCFL Angels in Depo projectors with 5k HIDs | | | 02-27-2007, 01:23 AM | #50 | Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: San Fernando, Ca Posts: 88 | POST PICS!!! I'm also thinking about going with 8000k. Do they produce a bluish or purplish color???? Does anybody have pictures of an HID install in a Depo housing. Thanks in advance. | | | 02-27-2007, 01:31 AM | #51 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Detroit, MI Posts: 585 | campaiar - so your highbeams are worthless, but do the HIDs do the job lighting up the road? __________________ | | | 02-27-2007, 03:07 AM | #52 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | planetace; check my "Photo Gallery" under my user name in this post. I may be interested for some HID fogs. | | | 03-22-2007, 11:38 AM | #55 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | We need 15 still, I might be able to pull 10 off but at a slightly higher price. | | | 03-22-2007, 05:54 PM | #56 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Cincinnati Posts: 890 | I don't have any pics yet sorry. I read somewhere that the final color takes a little while to achieve. They are nice and bluish/white right now. I've since raised my beams up a bit. No complaints from oncoming drivers yet. Adamud - You don't need the high beams anymore. Its very interesting with them on.. You really get a sense of how much brighter the HIDs are. 100% recommended. __________________ SOLD!!! 1999 332ti //M Sport Titanium Silver M3 S52 3.2 I-6 Engine, M3 Clutch w/ ti Getrag Trans, Z3 3.15 LSD medium case diff and half shafts, OEM Hatch Spoiler, Eurosport HP Underdrive Pulleys, FDM, 17" DS1 rims, M3 Front Struts & Springs, M3 Instrument Cluster, 3-spoke //M steering wheel with tri-color stitching, SSK, CCFL Angels in Depo projectors with 5k HIDs | | | 03-23-2007, 12:17 AM | #57 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Detroit, MI Posts: 585 | Count me in still!!!
