It sounds mean. 9500rpm redline is SWEET. Too bad the hood doesn't close all the way. I think that's an S2000 motor, but I'm not 100% sure.
The girl likes it. I tend to drive the same way when there's a female in the other seat.
Yeah, that's the S2k motor. I like the rev-limit, but that has so much less torque and power than the s50b30/b32, I just don't see how they justified the swap unless they just had a motor sitting around.
I wonder how much lighter it is....not to mention CHEAPER!
My thoughts exactly. Plus you can also justify a custom hood with a big ol' bulge in it Mopar style rather than letting the hood sit up Kentucky dirt track ghetto style. I thought the second driver (TV show host?) drove it really well through those twisties. Good long camera shots too. Nice post!

I'm looking forward to hearing a 9500rpm exhaust note from a Honda sometime soon as well. Working with my dad rebuilding his 1964 Honda S600. Its a 600cc four cylinder, redline of 9500, 62hp at redline. And for a bit different sound, it has a dual exhaust. The car itself is about the size of an MG Midget. Hopefully have it going by this summer. And hope we're comfortable enough to take it to 9k.

atleast it wasnt an M3 or else it woulda been the most stupidest swap ever. 240hp M3 engine, vs 240 hp s2k engine = tied. M3 torque vs S2k torque = M3 wins. But if its a 318 or a 323 bmw, then i guess its ight.
Someone from my job just got a 2001 (i think) with only 6k miles on the engine for 12,500. He got lucky.

It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.
Yeah.. That makes sense... The s2000 4 cylinder is without a doubt lighter than an s50 or s52. Not to mention that it mounts differently and by the looks of it they have it shoved into the very back of the engine compartment. I'm sure that car will outperform a Ti with an US m3 engine swap. US m3 motors are not race motors. For all purposes the s2000 motor can be called a race motor.
And let's not forget that almost everybody on this site was floored by the 357ti... Seems like most of the people that don't like it are the same people that will use cheap aftermarket parts instead of OEM parts... Which in my opinion is a lot worse than using a high end honda racing motors.
