I think they ran that (or something similar) in Roundel. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 07-13-2007, 05:31 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Orange County, NY Posts: 1,067 | I was thinking wallpaper too as soon as I saw the thread on the forum. Hope you find a high res pic. This is my current wallpaper. I have a widescreen LCD bigger than the 1024x768 natve resolution. If you stretch the picture it looks blurry, but it looks really nice when I center it and keep the back ground black. | | | 07-13-2007, 08:40 PM | #4 | doesn't care about you. JMJ | Haha, being a Honda Accord owner and loving the realiability, I can't help wanting to drive the ultimate Honda, the NSX. All aluminium chassis and body, double wishbone suspension on four corners, mid-engine rear wheel drive, AND Honda reliability. The reason the NSX failed is because Honda kept raising the price without really redesigning the car. I can't see myself paying $90K for a 300hp sports car, but when it came out in the 90's at a $60K price tag, it was a bad motherf%cker! | | | 07-13-2007, 11:54 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Orange County, NY Posts: 1,067 | Quote: Originally Posted by DustenT | So those are the individual throttle bodies...very nice. | | | 07-14-2007, 12:16 AM | #10 | doesn't care about you. The chassis is too fragile, driving in gravel can bend them.... And most body shops can't work on them. They are also a electricians nightmare to work on and even worse mechanically. They don't drive that well, I know a guy racing one and he's been bleeding from the ears to get it to handle. They have a vicious spin cycle when they break loose. Like most exotics the NSX is more pretty than functional. Its in there with the Lamborgini , many Ferraris, Vectors etc... The reality of ownership and drivability hits hard at the end of the day... I would never take the NSX on gravel but I shouldn't be restricted though. Damn... Well, they sure are pretty and that's why it's my wallpaper. | | | 07-14-2007, 08:46 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | I shipped one to the only shop on the west coast (at the time in S CA) to get its chassis straightened, The guy had slid off the road into a gravel parking lot. Just some small washboard action no big deal, knocked the chassis out of square so bad the doors wouldn't shut.... And he was doing about 40 miles an hour. Hit water on the road from a sprinkler. It was like 5200 bucks to have them pull on the chassis and fix a suspension mount. 5 hours labor...... Tops... Plus 3K to ship the car from Portland Oregon to southern CA. And this was years ago when they first came into the market. I love the exotics but having friends who own them has tought me a lot. Labo's look awsome, horrid to ride in. New Corvettes are not built for anybody over 5'8" tall. I can't straigten my head up if I have my Helmet on... Hard part is finding good art to make a vector drawing out of. | | | 07-26-2007, 09:58 PM | #15 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | Quote: Originally Posted by KI4SKN I have always wanted to cut the engine outline out of vinyl to place on the hood. | Couldn't you take an overhead photograph of the engine bay, import that image into a drawing program and draw the outline of the engine, then export the drawing as a new file? You might have to remove the hood to get a shot from directly overhead. __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH!
