Only if the tire shine contains petroleum distillates will it damage your tires. I use Meguiars Gold-Class endurance high gloss, its some of the best big brand stuff you'll find.

proudTIowner, you are lucky us folks at 318ti.org are a friendly bunch, most Bmw forums would absolutely tear you apart for adding chrome parts to your Ti...But I say to each his own.

Sounds like you got one hell of a deal on that paint job!

A little chrome, used in moderation never hurt anyone...

Thanks! They didi a hell of a job too. I get more looks now after its painted then I did before. I think chrome is just a matter of taste. Some people like it and some dont. I happen to be one of the ones that like it especially since my car is black. Chrome always looks good on black. The chrome that ive added on my car really does give it some stlye. One thing is for sure, no one else in Greensboro has a ti like mine. Its all about making a unique car even more unique.

I just took a photo which shows my chrome mirror caps. The dent on my hood from the hail is on the crease where the reflection of the window is. Im getting it fixed next Friday.
