New ti owner here, my name is Lou. Im from Erie, pa. This is the first bmw ive ever owned, i have a couple acura's ( 91 integra, 91 legend ) a buick grand national, and a few others.....I bought .TheKids 95 alpine white Ti. Its a fun little car i cant wait to get started on the body and get this thing painted, im keeping it white, but i gota do something a little different. What kind of mileage do these motors expect. This ones hitting 190,000 . Should i be worried? What kinds, models, types, of BMW's are parts interchangable? Like interior, or body? I need a few small trim pieces for the interior , but id like to get leather seats and all that as well? how hard are these parts to come by? What kind of options are there as far as headlights? Anyone got pics of custom paint on there TI's? i think thats all for now im sure ill have more....thanks all LoU | | | 07-14-2008, 04:15 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Richmond Hill, GA Posts: 1,231 | my best advice is to sit down for a while and go through all the forums gathering ideas. but up front I'll tell you that the interior of the Ti is not interchangeable with any of the other models. maybe the a pillars from a sedan but other than that not much else. The exterior is shared from the sedan models from the A pillar forward including the mirrors. like I said take some time and read the forums and gather some ideas. This other forum is a good source of BMW parts. I got me a set of the LTW style 24 rims on that forum. The nice thing about our cars is that when it come to wheels, you can stay OEM and get the M3 stuff. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/ | | | 07-14-2008, 11:30 PM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Erie, pa Posts: 27 | whats up mat(thekid) you get started on that body work yet? let me know for real if you want some help, if you dont have my number anymore email me and ill get it to you......Zboot, where in erie are you doing your swap? | | | 07-17-2008, 08:07 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Pittsburgh, PA Posts: 1,224 | I'm renting a garage in the St. Vincent hospital area. . like literally behind the hospital. I'd like to see a couple of other ti's, i've yet to see another one on the road. Plus I'd like an opinion on an engine noise I have, from someone familiar with these engines. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
