I know that they are linear rate springs which is a big plus in my book. I was more curious than anything, linear springs are always good. None of the US BMW tuners makes their own springs, they either use eibach, vogtland, or H&R. This kit is basically SA Konis, eibach springs, and dinans sway bars. I'm sure if we saw a picture of the sway bars, we could figure out which company makes those as well. I have to believe if it was that simple Dinan would still offer ti springs on their site... everything else is still offered. I'm fairly certain Dinan made their own sways. No one else makes a 22mm rear sway or uses stock type rubber bushings. The Koni's are valved to Dinan specs... or so they claim. I think Dinan just stops carrying/selling stuff when the market for it drops off. They are selling enough tuning products for the x35 cars to not have to worry about selling springs for a 17 year old car. Given the cost/premium nature of Dinan parts, I wouldn't be surprised if they were using a one-off spring that wasn't available in other kits. The value really comes in the valving and the fact that an actual engineer sat down and put the kit together, and I would assume that Dinan did more testing than a company like DDM did before they started selling these kits. If you want something new and comparable, I'd give the ground control or tckline SA's a try. Although, I'm starting to think that the TcKline spring rates are not necessarily the "best," as TcKline recommends the same spring rates for just about every car I've come across. I actually think the AST products look far superior than the Konis when you start looking at how they are assembled and the known weak points on the struts. Koni's haven't changed in years, AST is still actively developing and improving their products. | I agree that there are many better options on the market these days (especially for track use) but for a complete kit with sways, camber plates, and weld in rear sway reinforcements 1200 is not bad. I have a SA GC set up on my E46 and I really like it. I have heard good things about AST and I think they just bought moton. I'd love to try a set but I'm happy with my TCK SAs so far.
