Default E30 Diff

Hi All.

I'm a new member - been looking at swapping the Diff from my 89 M325i E30 to my 97 318ti.
(the E30 was rear ended at the lights > written off!)

I know the diff will go into the ti, but some confusion if there was a difference in the Diff used in the E30 ///M as opposed to the standard E30 Diff?

So will the LSD used in the ///M E30 go into the E36 ti as in all the posts / diff conversion guids on here?

Thanks in advance!
