This supercharged black on black 5-speed BMW 318ti has 136k miles and runs beautifully. There is no lag from the DASC and the power delivery in such a light chassis is superb. This is a fine adult-driven car. The price is only $5,900. What does that mean? Only minor leaks? Good luck with sale. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 05-24-2010, 11:16 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: Allentown, PA Posts: 117 | interested, where in PA are you located? | | | 05-25-2010, 02:37 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2010 Location: Montreal Posts: 283 | nice, good luck, willing to part with DASC? | | | 05-25-2010, 02:46 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: PA Posts: 1,906 | Yeah, I would have been interested in this had I not puchased one last friday. Are you willing to sell the DASC? Would it work on an m42? __________________ | | | 05-25-2010, 01:57 PM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2009 Location: Pennsylvania Posts: 15 | I'm in Chadds Ford, PA 19317 Quote: Originally Posted by GoTiGo interested, where in PA are you located? | | | | 05-25-2010, 02:02 PM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2009 Location: Pennsylvania Posts: 15 | I will not sell the DASC separately. Grassroots Motorsports magazine was able to fit the DASC to an M42 in a 318is. This involved a fair amount of work, including retrofitting a serpentine belt from the M44 to the M42 motor. I would purchase old copies of the magazine if you want to pursue this further. (I don't know the month/issue that the articles appeared though.) It would probably be better to simply say "no leaks". Thanks for the good wishes! Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti I see that all the time, no major leaks. What does that mean? Also, the OBC was uncommon with the Sport package, so I'm having doubts that it's a Sport. I could be wrong (and often am), but this car looks more like an Active package with Vader front seats and Sport front bumper. Still, $5900 is a very competitive price and is tempting even to someone who doesn't need another car, like me. :-) GLWtS!! __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! But, those are simple to swap. So, either it's a Sport with the wrong back bumper (if so, what's the story?), or an Active with a Sport front bumper and side moldings. Like I said, either way, the price is competitive. :-) __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! No obvious repairs to the sheet metal at the rear of the car, clean Carfax, but one could surmise that the M-sport bumper cover got damaged. No big deal, a few minor things to work on to get everything where I want it. Previous owner(s) are super nice folks and have maintained the car quite well. The car runs like a scalded dog, covered 1200 miles in 18hrs, stopping 4 times for fuel and twice for food. Thunderstorms in Columbus and Indianapolis slowed me down a bit, as did a couple of big hairy accidents on the Interstate. The DASC is incredible, they should put these on every car!
