Passenger window problem

The passenger side front window goes up and down but the switch has to be pushed several times to go down and up. I think it's a wire problem just it was smoking when I tried to fix the central door locks an put to big of a fuse cus it blew a 5 and a 7.5amp fuse. So I really think it's a wire problem it worked find before that happen. Please give me your thoughts. Thanks

Anyone have this same issue? On my 95 Active, I can roll the passenger window up/down, but it takes 15-20 repeated presses of the directional switch to get it fully up or down. I swapped the switch with a known working one, no difference. I'm wondering if it is wire, relay or motor based. Researching to line up repairs for this for this weekend.
