Jackson Browne of course.....then maybe Steve Earle.

For my headbanger moments, Iron Maiden and Megadeth.

Speaking of which, I took my son to the Black Sabbath/Megadeth show in NJ last Saturday. They both put on a great show, and my son and I both had our heads flailing to the music.

German electro is good for spirited BMW driving--Rammstein, Funker Vogt, Eisbrecher, OOMPH!, Die Krupps, etc.

Classical/opera works pretty well too (Wagner, Vivaldi, Bach, Rachmaninov), and for late-night driving, techno/trance or ambient/electronica (DJ Krush, Portishead, Imogen Heap, Massive Attack).

I'm usually a big music listener while driving, mostly classics (Stones/J Geils/Aerosmith/Pink Floyd/etc.). In this car, I have a habit of turning off the radio in lieu of inline 6 music. I "turn it up" by blipping the throttle on downshifts, and rev match upshifts.

I loaded the cd changer with cds, but only tested to see that it works. I haven't actually listened to them yet.

Goofy, I know, but it's true.
