Default Turbo M43?

seems theres lots of love for turbo/superchargers for the M42/M44 16v engines but what about my M43?

i hear the M43 shares some internals with the M44 but what and does the exhaust manifold have the same mountings between the M43 and M44? IE is the block the same?

i have an itch for some more power out of my weeny 1.8l.. suppose thats probaby because i have owned an E36 325i and the difference between that and a 318i feels monumental..

i know the 318i has better gearing for acceleration but the engine just doesnt cut it with around 115hp..

are there any manifolds for turbo conversions that fit the M43 that i could get here in europe or posted to europe? alternately does anyone make an adaptor that allows fitting a turbo to the stock manifold? or has anyone ever had one custom made and if so anyone know the dimensions/measurements so i could get it duplicated?

my biggest issue would be actually mounting the turbo to the engine. pumbing oil lines and intake pipes is a walk in the park in comparison IMO.

also what about management? if im going to do this i want it to be low budget. id sacrifice some power for cheapness. would 5psi work with the stock management and barn door AFM? not looking to break the bank as i didnt pay that much for the car in the first place.
