Video stops at 1:05 for me. Never seen the vid before, but it appears to be an older vid. Think that's the old F1 track setup (like in PGR3/4 I believe) and I believe it's different now. I know that if you check the track out with Google Earth the layout is a bit different. Or not. Just looked at some pics from recent races there, and it looks like Google's ground shots are old. The layout of the track in the vid is definately how it is now.

That is the F1 circuit that is currently used, the older part is the Nordschleiffe Nurburgring, a very good circuit, and a place that is a must visit before you die. Been a few times can't wait to go back again. Occasionally being in europe has its advantages. Good video, anyone know what engine it was running? There is a M3 compact cup run in europe that uses the S14 engine from E30 M3.

I know about the Nordscheiffe (I'm a big car nut). The part of the track I was referring to is the kink and turns right after the pits. Here's a link to it on Google Maps. You'll notice the setup in that (apparently old) photo has an S-curve after the pits before heading over the 258. The track layout in the video (and the PGR games) is a bit different, and apparently the new layout. After seeing the pictures in Google Earth once, I thought the S-curve setup was the new one. Guess not.

Saw the rest of it, and again, nice find. Notice they're using the shortened version of the F1 track. I soo got to get there someday. Anyone know if it's possible to rent a Ti anywhere to take to the track?

That is sad. I see they do have an E46 ti, E36 M3 coupe, 135i coupe and E92 M3. I notice on their "Coupons" page there's a picture of an E36 ti at the top. May she rest in peace. Prices don't look terrible. Now I've just got to come up with the money to get over there and do something like this.

Flight to Bonn, then there are a good few hotels/B&B's that will collect you, so yes a great holiday is achievable. It would be a holiday you will not forget.

thats pretty cool! I think a 135i or a Caymen would be in order...

My wife & I are doing Octoberfest (staying in Germany 2 weeks) this year & the green monster is one of the definite confirmed stops!

Also the Shumacher museum in Kerpen as well as a bunch of runs on the autobahn (I've been pre-aproved & allowed to rent something stupid fast for a day or two at the most) LOL

Some rental companies do not allow their car to be used on the ring, and those that do, often the car is not insured so if you stack it in the armco be prepared. Hopefully you will return it as shiny as you received it, but with some very high speed mileage on it.
