Unhappy Decided to put the 318ti in the ditch tonight.....

Well not like it was planned....but I was goofing around doing some drifting with the fresh greasy snow, it was all going great until I went a bit too fast for one corner and the front wheels didn't want to hang in there for me....so at the break neck speed of 20 mph, we slam into the curb and bounce over it ungracefully...*bang pow slam* we come to a stop teetering on top of this curb with a nice deep muck hole on one side and the road on the other. After jumping out of my car to land in knee deep nonsense, I creep around it afraid to see what I broke. Turns out my perf. cat back decided to take a bite out of my rear bumper cover...leaving some nice cracks in it. front bumper.mint condition minus 1 fog light ?hole filler/cover?. After I get pulled out I pawed around in the muck for a bit trying to find the cover....no luck. Thinking to my self I'm not that bad off......I start to head home..only to be mumbling to my self "Feels like I'm driving a red rider through 6" of mud."
Checked tie rods out, look good, both wheels turned...so I continued to drive...only to be all over the road. Hitting bare spots on the road made for a nightmare throwing me which ever way..I think alignment is messed up..bad but I am unsure. Any ideas would be much appreciated. I have zero cash because of certain issues. When I do get cash I will be looking for an alaskan blue fog light filler and rear bumper.

alignment.. or possibly even a bent lower control arm.

Shame that had to happen though. I hope the damage is slight

nothing bad happened to take pictures of....plus i didn't even have my camera at the time after the crash...I tore the front end down to the spindle today gawked at things for a while and then decided to change my ABS sensor...things weren't going so hot so i handed the show over to my friend. He decided to muscle it out and break the head off it.(Leading to me tearing it down to the spindle.) He then proceeded to break off the other side. WONDERFUL! so after some himming and hawing I tried to push/chisel the piece out of the spindle, and finally got it out. Over all the job was probably 2 hours long.

The moral of the story is make sure to gather patients for inpatient friends that help you work on cars.

p.s. traction control in the snow makes my car feel like its going to crap the bed

next in line is cam shaft position sensor

Does any one have any extra bolts for the cam cover?

So, nothing was broken or bent, and it only needed to be aligned? Sweet. :-)

What were you doing ? Now that I have my abs hooked up I don't think I could spin a 180 even if I wanted to.

on no with abs you can spin out all you want. thats just your brakes.

if you have asc then maybe it will be a little harder to slide out but still very possible
